DESTINATION EXPERIENCES
Discover a diverse portfolio of cultural, adventure, and tailor-made experiences designed for our travel partners.
The capital is Muscat. Port and the largest city in Oman. It is located on the coast of the Gulf of Oman. The population, including the suburbs, is 1.6 million people. Muscat means “place of fall.” The thing is that the cliffs here drop steeply to the sea, enclosing the city on all sides with a natural wall-fortification.
Salalah. Resort on Indian Ocean.
Located 1,000 km from the capital, in the south of the country, is Salalah — the second most popular city in Oman, Salalah is a very well‑known resort on the shores of the Indian Ocean, surrounded by emerald mountains. It is considered an Omani pearl. Snow‑white beaches, cozy coves, herds of camels, green coconut and banana plantations. All of this is also Oman!
Jabal Akhdar. Famous mountain resort.
Jabal Akhdar, which translates to "Green Mountains," is a unique place in a couple of hours' drive from Muscat. This region is famous for its terraces where Damask roses are grown, the deepest canyon in the world and huge caves.
Omani desert. Safari and authentic camps.
In the heart of Oman lies the famous Wahiba Desert — one of the most beautiful places in the Sultanate. Hundred‑meter‑high dunes, multicolored sands, Bedouins and camel caravans — all of this creates the atmosphere of a real Eastern fairy tale. Several authentic glamping sites operate in the desert.
Omani wadi. Mountain lakes and waterfalls.
If you go to one of the arid valleys, you will find yourself in the center of an ancient world of cave dwellings, prehistoric petroglyphs, and old villages that have been part of the canyons for so long that it seems as if they grow right out of the rocks. The local people call them Wadi. In winter, water flows in many wadis, and in summer they become a paradise for wildlife. They form real oases among the rocky desert, adorned with various flowers. In mid‑summer, they are filled with the sounds of croaking toads and the cheerful tapping of cicadas.
Nizwa. Old culture capital of Oman.
Oman, unvarnished, begins right here: Nizwa is not the resort gloss of Muscat, but old Arabia, where goats are traded at dawn on Fridays, and a round fortress tower rises above an oasis with date palms. Nizwa Fort (1668). Not just “ancient walls”: the main feature is a massive round tower about 30 metres high, which you climb via internal staircases. From the upper platform, you can see the palm oasis and the mountains — the best vantage point in the city. Inside, there are museum halls dedicated to everyday life and defense. Nizwa‑Suk. A restored yet vibrant market right by the fort: dates, halva, spices, ceramics, and silver.
Royal Opera Theatre. Unique opera house in Middle East.
Opened in 2011, it became the first opera house in a Gulf countries, symbolizing of Omani direction to develop culture and integrate into world art. The building combines traditional Omani architectural motifs with modern technologies and hosts world‑class events — opera, ballet, symphony concerts, as well as Arabic and Omani traditional music. The complex features well‐maintained gardens, premium restaurants and an art gallery.
Turtles beach. Unique nature reserve.
On the calm eastern coast of Oman, the Ras al Jinz Nature Reserve has established itself as an important conservation area. This reserve is not only a protected territory but also an important center whose goal is to protect and increase the population of green sea turtles. Thus, the Ras al Jinz Nature Reserve is important for nesting and studying marine fauna, as it allows these magnificent creatures to come here and rest. Visitors can observe green sea turtles coming ashore at the Ras al‑Jinz Nature Reserve to lay their eggs in the soft sands during the late night hours.
